Pharmacy Technician Preparation

The Certified Pharmacy Technician Preparation program is a 9-month (August – May) program. Professional curriculum is delivered per classroom instruction, web-based CD modules, WVU School of Pharmacy laboratory, and clinical experience. This course includes certification requirements, pharmacy law, medical/pharmacy terminology, pharmacology, pharmacy math, pharmacy operations, medication distribution and inventory. Graduates will be eligible to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) national exam. The Pharmacy Technician Program is open to adults and high school students.
