FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID

Financial aid is available to qualifying students in eligible MTEC programs.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to qualify for federal financial aid, a student must:

Be a U.S. citizen or other eligible non-citizen.

Be a high school graduate or have earned a GED, TASC, or state high school certificate.
If a student has received a Bachelor's degree, he/she is not eligible for a Pell Grant.

Be enrolled in an eligible approved MTEC program of 900 clock hours in length which leads to a certificate or other educational credential. Evening classes are not eligible for a Pell Grant.

Maintain satisfactory academic progress by maintaining a minimum C average, adherence to program's absence policy, and proceed through the program at a pace leading to completion of the certificate in a specified time frame. (Health Occupations programs have very specific grade and attendance requirements to maintain satisfactory academic progress.)

Not be in default on any prior Title IV loans or owe a refund on any grant.

Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Department of Education.
