Welcome

Thank you for visiting MTAngie CopelandEC’s Student Services Page.  I am Angie Copeland, Counselor and TASC Coordinator.  At MTEC, some of my duties include providing career services, helping students plan for education after high school, including MTEC’s Adult Education Programs, countywide TASC coordination, and drug counseling for our simulated workplace.  I have been a school counselor for the past eleven years and a college financial aid and student services coordinator and counselor for ten years prior to that.  Helping students overcome barriers to achieving their academic and career goals is my specialty.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at 304-291-9240, extension 2713 or arcopeland@k12.wv.us.

Earn a Degree Graduate Early (EDGE)

Many Career and Technical Education programs at MTEC earn free college credits known as EDGE at community and technical colleges in West Virginia.  The West Virginia EDGE initiative provides multiple opportunities for students entering the workforce in the 21st century. The initiative requires a collaborative partnership between business/labor, postsecondary, and secondary educational levels. Its main purpose is to provide viable career options for individuals through a rigorous, seamless curriculum, work-based learning experiences, and career development.  Through West Virginia EDGE, you can earn a degree and graduate early.  Get an EDGE on your future!
