The Cool Buses are hitting the road with free books and snacks for students in PreK–12! Each student will receive grade-level books to enjoy all summer long, plus tasty snacks to take home. All buses carry the same materials, so you only need to visit one stop. 🚍 📚🍎

The All County Art Show is THIS WEEK on May 2!
Reminder of two upcoming events!
Due to storm damage, all Monongalia County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students on Tuesday, 4/22/2025. Also, due to power outages, there will be no school for students at Suncrest Elementary, Mason Dixon Elementary and Clay-Battelle High School on 4/22/2025.
🌞 Thinking about summer 2025 already? So is Monongalia County Schools - We've already rolled out registration for our cool summer programs! This week on "Ask the Educators," WAJR's Kyle Wiggs connects with Susan Taylor, MCS' Coordinator of Student Programs and Community Resources. She gives us the details on the always-popular Summer Sizzler and Summer Avalanche — two programs packed with fun, learning, and ways to keep kids engaged all summer long. Save the date! Our annual Panther Pride Celebration is Thursday, May 15 from 5 PM - 7 PM with the Spring Choir and Orchestra concert to follow at 7 PM. Students will showcase all sorts of things they are proud of, including our art show: Panther Prints, A Printmaking Exhibition!
WVGSA for grade 3 - 5 begins April 30, and continues May 12 - 14.

📢Important Transportation Update:📢
Reminder: All Monongalia County Schools will dismiss 2 hours early on Thursday, April 17. There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, April 18 & Monday, April 21.
Please note the following school calendar updates due to make-up snow days:
Wednesday, April 16 will now be a full day of instruction.
Thursday, April 17 will be a day of instruction with a 2-hour early dismissal
